· Data Warehouse Specialist
· Minimum 6 years demonstrated experience in implementation of data warehouses and marts
· In-depth knowledge of the characteristics of data warehousing in the areas of: o Schema Design o Typical Operations & Workload o Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) o Information delivery
· Expert at tuning physical dimensional data structures and other database objects characteristic of a data warehouse o Indexing, parallel execution, partitioning, materialized views, summary tables, facts, dimensions [type I, II, and III] o SQL specific to star transformation joins, aggregation, mining and other SQL functions specific to information delivery and business intelligence architecture o ETL architecture including data acquisition staging areas and changed data capture Especially environments with multiple data sourcesManaging capacity planning and performance analysis Including scalability, availability, backup & recovery and security
· Working with application developers to design and develop optimized database objects and structures according to project specifications
· Oracle instance & database tuning specialist
· Instance parameters, memory pool tuning, blocking factors, partitioning, administration and performance tuning of multi-terabytes Oracle databases.
· Experience and knowledge of data integration tools such as Informatica and Business Objects
· Business Object Universe knowledge and troubleshooting experience
· Experience with Oracle 10gr2 in an AIX environment
· Oracle certification a plus
· DB2 and Teradata experience a plus
· Knowledgeable of Kimball and Inmon data warehousing methodologies
