Must have:
Extensive experience with the following:
Develop and support databases in SQL Server,
Tuning and optimization of databases,
Database backup & recovery
Capacity planning and management
Troubleshooting and resolving database issues,
SSIS and DTS packages
log shipping and failover techniques, SQL Server clustering
Transact-SQL and Query development skills - Stored procedures, functions, distributed queries, database scripting
Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and effectively to support 24 X 7 requests from clients
Proactive testing and application of service packs
Knowledge of SQL Server 2000 and 2005
Strong knowledge of windows operating systems and networks
Microsoft SQL Server certification preferred
Strong analytical and design skills
Solid understanding of documentation and production support
Solid communications and interpersonal skills
Strong teamwork skills

Nice to Have:
Familiarity with Quest Management Tools for SQL Server
Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS will be a plus.
· 3 – 5 years Experience
Project Management skills
Experience with other databases (DB2 for LUW, SQL Server, and DB2 for z/OS) welcomed

24/7 pager support on Rotational team
